Have you had difficulty adhering to exercise in the past?
Perhaps you have previously purchased a gym membership but have been unable to attend the group session times. Perhaps despite purchasing a gym membership you still have difficulty keeping yourself accountable among the many other tasks on your to-do list! Perhaps you have felt self conscious entering a large busy gym, unsure of what you should be doing, or how to use the vast amount of equipment. Perhaps you are frustrated having to wait for equipment under your own time constraints. Perhaps you talk yourself out of working hard, or finishing what you set out to do.
I make these assumptions as I too have experienced them. It is not uncommon to hear clients say “I would’ve given up half an hour ago”, or “If you weren’t waiting for me, it wouldn’t happen!”
So, if you relate to this and find yourself on the merry-go-round of trying something new and no sooner giving up, thinking that ‘exercise is not for you’, then you may be better suited to personal training.
The education you receive from having a coach by your side stays with you for life. You not only have the opportunity to reflect in real-time face-to-face with your thoughts, feelings and questions, but you also make progress you never could have imagined.
